Confirmation Sunday

On Reformation Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, six St. Andrew's youth celebrated the Rite of Confirmation with family, friends, and church members. During the service these youth publicly affirmed the promises made in baptism and entered a new phase in their faith formation - a new beginning as confirmed church members. Congratulations to Brock Simbro, Easton Collum, Jacob Bell (back row) and to Payton Bowlin, Dalton Winegar, Henry Sharp, and Pastor Kari (front row)

St. Andrew's Spring Clean-Up Day

Spring Clean-Up Day was a great success. The church property has been washed, scrubbed, dusted, trimmed and weeded. Thanks to all especially St. Andrew's youth who showed up and stayed after service to help.

On Sunday, Oct. 29, five St. Andrew’s youth, Charly Fenner, Peyton Sharp, Addi Collum, Dominic Peart, and Hunter Neleman were confirmed. During the service, while reaffirming their baptismal vows, each was yoked with a red stole signifying they are now called to minister and serve Christ. Each confirmand was also gifted a Bible from their St. Andrew’s church family.
Following the service confirmands, their family and friends, along with congregational members gathered to celebrate this important occasion with a cake and ice cream reception. Thanks to all who have supported and will continue to support these young people on their spiritual journey.

To gather with God's people in united adoration of the Father is as necessary to the Christian life as prayer.

"Small but Mighty"
St. Andrew's is a member of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America). First established in 1870, St. Andrew's has been ministering to generations of area families for over 150 years. Although a small, rural church, we are "Mighty in Mission." Just as Martin Luther wrote, "Faith is a living, creative, active, powerful thing," so is St. Andrew's a living, creative, active, powerful faith family.
