CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE Thursday, December 24, 2020 This Christmas we were like the wise men and the shepherds pilgrimaging to our places of worship to stand as guests at the feet of the manager. The cold in the air reminded us that with Christ's birth we become the source of warmth for a cold and bitter world. The wind reminded us that we are stilled so that we may be the calm in a tumultuous world. In the exposed darkness of the night, ww saw with our own eyes the light of Christ revealed and come to earth. This Christmas Eve was like none we had experienced before. That night like Mary and Joseph we found ourselves with no room in the inn (church) to shelter us, but the Christmas Star shone high in the sky and as we stood together as one church family in the parking lot or sat in our vehicles, we listened to the Christmas story, sang joyous Christmas hymns, shared communion, lit our candles, and celebrated our Savior's birth.
